Recipes

I love cooking, ever since my mum first taught me when I was little.  Cooking has always been close to my heart, a chance to experiment with new recipes, to fill one’s belly with deliciousness and also as a way to show (and share) your love with those you care about.

I love seeing my boy’s eyes light up when I make their favourite dinners or treats.  It’s a way to say “I love you” without having to say a thing.  I just love to cook and bake and the more people I am doing it for the better. Nothing is more special that a large family dinner for Thanksgiving or Christmas.  I will always feed anyone at my house at dinnertimeI have had friends turn upright when we are about to eat and I will always stretch what we have to feed another mouth.

People always appreciate being fed, or receiving something homemade. Many a time I have gone into my pantry to get a jar of my homemade dill pickles, or homemade jam, pickled jalapeños or homemade tomato sauce to give it to a friend.  My one standing rule is as long as you return the jar then you can get a refill! Talking about jars I am so in love with these retro blue ball jars

Add these chalk top mason jar lids and I am in canning heaven!

So enough talk, now its time to get down to business and share some recipes!   Below are some of my top recipes, ones I love the most and those that people are always asking me to make or share!  I hope you enjoy and that you find some that you love to make and use to say “I love you” to your own families.

There are so many amazing sites on the internet and below are a few of my favourites from some other bloggers…because its all about sharing the love…you’ll notice I really, really like Pinch of Yum!
